With Prince Harry returning to the UK next month, all eyes are on the reconciliation between him and his elder brother, Prince William. However, sources say that the future monarch might only nudge towards a truce if his younger takes the first step towards reconciliation.
An insider claims that Prince Harry would need to take the first step toward reconciliation
Prince Harry is returning to the UK next month, reportedly with his family. While sources are certain that King Charles might meet his son and his family, especially his grandkids, the same can’t be said about Prince William. However, if the brothers do come face-to-face, the source says only Harry’s “begging” for forgiveness would perhaps nudge the future monarch towards a truce.
“It’s hard to imagine William will react well to this,” an insider told the Closer, adding that “no doubt this is going to rock the boat.” The individual further added that the Prince of Wales might not make the move first. “It will take Harry swallowing all pride and essentially begging.”
However, sources say that’s “hard to imagine,” but Kate Middleton and King Charles “feel that it’s possible once he realizes all that he will gain by getting William back on side.” And revealing whether the future queen will meet Meghan Markle, insiders shared that “she’s tiptoeing around it,” but “no meeting has been set, yet.”
However, it seems Catherine would first like to speak to her brother-in-law to understand the situation and to “talk sense into him.” But “she does feel” that Harry “should be the first to apologize since he is the one that wrote such terrible things [in Spare] about William.”
Middleton, however, will not say this “directly” to Harry. Source believes she “will take a much more diplomatic tact” as she knows “how sensitive Harry can be.” “Whether it works or not remains to be seen, but she’s dead set on giving this her all,” noted the tipster.
