Following the release of a video showing her using a racial slur, a bombshell has been cut from Love Island USA.
After arriving during the Casa Amor twist, a video surfaced online of Alannah Keyser lip-syncing to a song. Unfortunately, the video also showed her using the n-word. In addition, a screenshot of her using a racial slur was widely shared on social media.
Following her first appearance on Season 8, Alannah seemed to disappear, as her presence was edited out.

At the time she was cast on the show, Peacock claims they had no knowledge of Alannah’s social media posts. Apparently, the offending posts weren’t shared until after she arrived on Love Island. Production normally fully vets contestants, including their social media posts, prior to casting them on the show. However, these posts hadn’t yet been posted during the timeframe of the vetting process.
Despite her early connection with Zach Georgiou in Casa Amor, the relationship was not allowed to flourish. Though many fans had predicted Zach would bring her back to the villa, Alannah is now gone with the wind.
Although in the June 25 episode, Zach and Alannah’s connection seemed to be growing stronger, it turned out to be her final appearance. After a commercial break, narrator Iain Stirling announced, “Alannah has left Casa Amor.”
This isn’t the first time Love Island USA has had to remove a contestant for problematic social media posts. Contestant Vasana Montgomery was earlier removed from Season 8 after video surfaced online of her using a racial slur. She was never shown on air, as production decided to move forward with a smaller cast.
Likewise, another contestant was removed just days after the Season 7 premier. Following her appearance on a podcast in which she used racial slurs, Yulissa Escobar was also ejected from the Island. Just a few weeks later, Cierra Ortega was also sent home after racist social media posts were found online.
