Michelle Obama and Barack Obama are being slammed for gushing over each other in an interview following months of divorce speculation. The Obamas are one of the most celebrated couples and have often publicly shown their support for one another. However, recently there were sources claiming that their marriage is on the brink of failure. Even though the couple has repeatedly put divorce rumors to rest, speculation continues to circulate online. Recently, when they appeared in an interview, they spoke candidly about their first meeting and shared personal reflections, which some people claimed was simply a cover-up for ongoing rumors.
Source claims there’s no evidence of Michelle and Barack Obama’s marriage being a cover-up
Michelle Obama and Barack Obama’s latest interview has once again put fuel to divorce rumors. In a recent PEOPLE cover story, the former U.S. President and former First Lady recalled the earliest days of their relationship along with other aspects of their bond.
During the interview, Barack said that being with Michelle has made him better and continues to do so. Talking about their bond, Michelle described them as each other’s “counterbalance.” The couple couldn’t stop gushing over each other during the conversation. The interview comes after speculation that the Obamas’ relationship was strained. They have repeatedly dismissed divorce rumors; however, the rumors continue to emerge online.
A source told Radar Online that they are aware of the split rumors. They continue to make joint appearances and let that speak for itself about their bond, adds the source. However, another source believes the interview simply reflects the values that have sustained their marriage and was not a response to speculation.
The source further said, “But they are being absolutely hammered with trolls in certain corners of the Internet for appearing to gush over each other as rumors still rage about whether their marriage is simply being maintained for the sake of their brand, and saying the interview reeks of some kind of cover-up – despite there being no evidence for this.”
