Karlie Kloss recently addressed whether she has ever discussed politics with President Donald Trump. The question stems from her connection to the Trump family through her marriage to Joshua Kushner, who is the brother of Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner. Kloss also opened up about how she handles public opinion about her marriage and her link to the Trump family.
Karlie Kloss says she has never met Donald Trump
In a conversation with Emily Chang for Bloomberg Originals, Kloss was asked whether she had ever spoken with Trump about politics, given her ties to the famous political family through her husband, Joshua. She gave a shocking response, saying, “I have never met President Trump.”
Moreover, Kloss also revealed that she hasn’t lost touch with her identity while maintaining respect for her husband’s family. The conversation came when she was asked about dealing with the scrutiny surrounding her ties to the Trump family. “I know who I am. I know the values that guide my life and the issues that I care about. I haven’t lost sight of who I am. But also, it’s my husband’s family.”
Earlier in an interview with Time, Kloss did open up about how the Trump family association has been challenging for her. However, she tries to focus on her personal values and ignore the outside noise. She added, “It’s been hard. But I choose to focus on the values that I share with my husband, and those are the same liberal values that I was raised with and that have guided me throughout my life.”
Kloss and Kushner reportedly met in 2012. However, there are no details about where they met or how they were introduced. Their first meeting date is known, as Kloss had earlier tweeted the timeline on X. They made their relationship Instagram-official in 2014. Kloss announced her engagement in 2018, and a few months later, they tied the knot in upstate New York.
