Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s AC suggestion amid heatwave. The couple, who are set to get married at Madison Square Garden, are advised to take the 78-degree AC recommendation by Mamdani.
Taylor and Travis are included in NYC’s 78-degree air conditioning recommendation during the heat wave
Zohran Mamdani took to his X account to suggest a way for New Yorkers to conserve electricity amid the ongoing heatwave. He wrote, “New York: it’s hot out there, and the power grid is working overtime to keep us cool. Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights/electronics you’re not using, and unplug what you can.
He added, “Our City is doing its part too: maintaining the 78 degrees rule in our buildings, dimming/turning off our lights during peak electricity demand, asking private partners to do the same, and powering down non-essential equipment. A stable grid means the AC stays on, and lives are saved. Let’s ease demand — and get through the heat — together.”
According to TMZ, Mamdani has recommended the 78-degree setting for New York City areas, including Manhattan, where Madison Square Garden is located. The star couple, Swift and Kelce, are all set to get married at MSG. The mayor has not exempted the place and is strictly taking action to save lives during the heat dome. He is following all the required guidelines, including instructions from the U.S. Department of Energy.
While the NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is worried about a power outage, the generators are reportedly available at the venue. However, MSG is climate-controlled, and the temperature is adjusted according to optimal requirements. It cannot be maintained at 78 degrees, despite Mamdani’s suggestions, due to the complicated system, according to TMZ.
Despite all the suggestions, all eyes are on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding as guests continue to arrive in New York.
