On July 5, Andy Reid and his wife, Tammy Reid, attended the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra’s America 250 celebration in Salt Lake City. At the event, they were asked about the advice they had for newlyweds, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. While speaking, the legendary NFL coach revealed the advice Adam Sandler gave (via The Deseret News).
“He told them, ‘Keep kissing.’ So, in its simplest form, that’s a good thing,” Reid recalled of Sandler’s advice. “It’s hard to argue when you give your wife a kiss, or your wife gives you a kiss. And make sure you do it every day, every minute that you have an opportunity to do it. Knock it out, and you won’t have problems.”
The Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach shared that the “Murder Mystery” actor was “crazy” but phenomenal and brought “a lot of humor” to his role as the officiant. Sandler has been married to his wife, Jackie, since 2003. They share two daughters, 17-year-old Sunny and 20-year-old Sadie.
The news that Swift and Kelce had officially tied the knot broke on July 3 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The pop star’s team later confirmed the news in a statement, which said, “The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”
The Hustle actor has been friends with Swift and Kelce for years. The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end appeared alongside Sandler in “Happy Gilmore 2”. During the film’s press tour, the actor praised the Grammy winner for how well she has always treated his daughters.
