Prince Harry’s Buckingham Palace Invite Vanishes in Fresh Royal Row — Insider

Royal insiders have slammed King Charles‘ staffers over the drama surrounding Prince Harry‘s stay during his UK visit. Earlier, the Duke of Sussex’s spokesperson confirmed that he had accepted an invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace. However, palace staffers argued that the accommodation could not be arranged because he failed to respond to the offer by the deadline.

Prince Harry’s insiders offered conflicting accounts of the canceled stay

Prince Harry arrived in the UK on Monday, July 6, and his current location remains undisclosed. This comes after his royal accommodation was canceled at the last minute. The palace staffers claimed that the Prince didn’t accept the invite by July 3; thus, they weren’t able to make stay arrangements for him. In contrast, Harry’s spokesperson claims that he was sorting out security arrangements first before accepting the royal stay offer.

Royal insiders, however, criticized the palace staffers over the stay withdrawal. Hugo Vickers, a friend of the royal family, told Page Six, “If they wanted him to stay there, they would find him a room even if he arrived in the middle of the night, let’s face it.” However, he believes that it wasn’t King Charles’ fault but rather his staffers, whom Prince Harry referred to as “men in gray suits” in his memoir.

Vickers said, “The courtiers. It’s always them, of course it is. If the king wants to see Harry, they will meet. [The courtiers] can always arrange something, but this sounds like it has become far too complicated and everyone is too fed up.” Another source questioned how there could be no room for a King’s son to stay overnight.

Earlier, another royal insider said to The Sun that the monarch’s patience has been running thin as he aims to be a great father and grandfather. However, he has been pushed to his limits and has zero tolerance for what was described as a “constant state of chaos.”

This comes after it was alleged that Prince Harry rejected the invitation to the royal stay. The same day Harry arrived in the UK, King Charles attended the Royal Tank Regiment’s Families’ Day celebration at the Tank Museum to fulfill his royal duty.
