Taylor Swift has become the biggest rumored addition to the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final halftime show. While FIFA has already confirmed several high-profile performers, fans continue to believe the singer could still be waiting in the wings. The speculation has spread rapidly across social media, with many pointing to reports that more artists are yet to be announced. Even without official confirmation, Swift remains one of the most discussed names linked to the event.
Rumors of Taylor Swift performing at FIFA World Cup 2026 keeps growing
The latest wave of speculation comes after FIFA announced Justin Bieber as one of the headline performers (via Daily Mail). He joins Madonna, Shakira, BTS, Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus for the tournament’s first-ever halftime show. The performance will take place during the World Cup Final on July 19 and is being curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
However, organizers have also indicated that more performers are still expected to be announced. As a result, fans believe there is still room for Taylor Swift to join the lineup.
Bookmakers have also reportedly kept Swift among the favorites to perform. That has only added to the excitement surrounding the “Opalite” singer, even though there is no official indication that she is involved.
Meanwhile, social media has become flooded with theories. One post on X claimed that Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, BTS, Burna Boy, and Swift would all allegedly perform together during the halftime show. However, the claim has not been verified by FIFA or Swift’s team.
Another post made even bigger allegations. It claimed Bieber had reportedly withdrawn from a previous agreement after learning Swift was FIFA’s preferred choice for the event. The same post further alleged that FIFA had reached a separate deal worth $45 million with Swift. However, none of those claims have been substantiated, and no official statement has been released by FIFA or either artist.
Despite the rumors, the confirmed lineup is already attracting plenty of attention. Burna Boy’s appearance is especially notable because he features alongside Shakira on the tournament’s official song, “Dai Dai”. The halftime show will also include appearances from Sesame Street favorites, including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.
