Millie Bobby Brown revealed details about the process she went through to adopt her daughter.
Brown describes a surreal feeling on receiving the call to confirm the adoption, and she remembers the unforgettable moment she shared with her husband, Jake Bongiovi. Brown also feels that though the adoption process is long, it is rightfully so.

Appearing on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast, the actress described the experience as one of the most emotional moments of her life, saying it was a memory she deliberately chose not to record.
During the podcast, Brown said, “The process is long and rightfully so; it’s a great process and, you know, in fact, it’s very thorough. I would say that’s probably the longest part, is just getting through all of that.”
She also dwells on the feeling of receiving the adoption call, which confirmed that she would be a mother. She describes it as the “most surreal feeling,” and exclaimed that she was sure that it was the moment that “we had found each other.” Saying, “This is our girl, 100%, no doubt.”
Millie continued, saying that she decided not to record the process, and declared that the unrecorded journey was more “special”. He said, “My husband and I will never forget those words, where we were, what we were doing, the feeling. And I think in so many ways, that is why that shouldn’t be recorded. It’s like almost like you had to be there.”
Brown also said that they were talking to another adoptive parent at that time, which made her realize that, “there are two ways to have a baby, one through your stomach and one through your heart, and my girl was through my heart.”
According to Page Six, Brown and Bongiovi adopted their daughter in the summer of 2025 and have largely kept her out of the public eye. Although they have not publicly revealed her name, fans have continued to speculate after spotting what they believe are subtle clues in Brown’s social media posts and jewelry.
