Greenfield discussed the upcoming HBO series during a July 31 appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark. He admitted that he was nervous about revealing too much about the new season. Fans have remained eager for details about the show’s latest chapter.
“I don’t know what I’m allowed to say; it’s so stressful,” Greenfield confessed. He also joked about fans approaching him and asking questions about the series. “I don’t trust anyone,” he added. His comments reflected the challenge of keeping details about the France-set production under wraps while filming remained ongoing.
The actor initially avoided directly confirming his involvement in the upcoming season. Hosts Mark Consuelos and Scott Foley playfully pushed him for answers. Greenfield eventually admitted, “I’m doing The White Lotus.”
According to E! Online, he also avoided revealing major details about the new storyline. However, Greenfield did share his feelings about joining Mike White’s acclaimed HBO series. “It’s been an unforgettable experience,” he told the audience.
The fourth season moved production to France after previous installments explored other international locations. The series is primarily filmed around Saint-Tropez, and the luxurious Château de la Messardière is serving as the main location.
Greenfield joins a large ensemble cast for the upcoming season. Other confirmed stars include Laura Dern, Chris Messina, Kumail Nanjiani and AJ Michalka. The season also features Alexander Ludwig, Steve Coogan and Chloe Bennet.
The cast faced a notable change after Helena Bonham Carter departed the production. HBO said her character did not align with the story once filming began. Her role was subsequently rewritten, with Laura Dern joining the cast.
Production officially began in April 2026, following HBO’s renewal announcement. The network has yet to reveal a specific premiere date. Meanwhile, Greenfield’s comments have only increased curiosity surrounding the secretive new season.
