Meghan Markle Faces Prince William’s Toughest Test To Overcome One Royal Hurdle — Report

Meghan Markle may face her biggest challenge with Prince William as she and Prince Harry reportedly explore ways to repair their relationship with the Royal Family. Former royal butler Grant Harrold believes William’s emphasis on trust could become a major obstacle in the Sussexes’ efforts to rebuild ties with the monarchy.

Harry, Meghan, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, reportedly reunited with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House on July 10 after four years apart. Buckingham Palace kept the meeting private, but news of the reunion quickly raised questions about whether the Sussexes could repair their strained relationship with the Royal Family.

According to a report from Express.com, Harry and Meghan could be looking for ways to rebuild ties after stepping back from royal duties. However, Harrold believes the couple still face a major challenge, especially when it comes to Meghan’s relationship with Prince William.

Harrold worked for King Charles from 2004 to 2011 and also served William, Kate Middleton, and Harry. Drawing on his experience with the family, he said William places considerable importance on trust. “I know from my time with them that William is big on trust; when you break his trust, there isn’t really any coming back,” Harrold said.

He contrasted William’s approach with Charles, describing the King as more willing to forgive and extend an olive branch. “King Charles is more forgiving, and he is willing to offer olive branches, as we have seen in this case,” Harrold added.

However, he believes rebuilding trust with William will be much harder. “I think going forward, the issues will be around overcoming William and regaining his trust,” he said.

Harrold also said Meghan’s handling of private conversations could create another obstacle. He said she would need to show that she can keep sensitive family discussions private if she wants to rebuild her relationships with the Royal Family.

“If Meghan does keep discussing private conversations and speaking about the royals, that will be an issue,” he said.
