The former Duke of York continues to face scrutiny over his past association with Jeffrey Epstein, but insiders claim Harry and Meghan’s return has shifted the focus of the royal news cycle.

Harry and Meghan are reportedly planning to return to Britain with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, for a longer stay. Their plans have already sparked strong interest in their future in the UK, their relationship with the Royal Family and whether they can rebuild those ties while remaining non-working royals.
According to a royal source, the change in attention has given Andrew some breathing room. “Andrew is under no illusion about the seriousness of his own circumstances, but Harry and Meghan returning has completely transformed the royal news agenda,” the insider claimed to Radar Online.
The source added that talk about the Sussexes’ UK home, their relationship with King Charles and their ties with Prince William has pushed Andrew’s situation out of the spotlight. “From Andrew’s perspective, having somebody else at the center of the royal storm inevitably provides some relief,” the source said.
Andrew, 66, is still under investigation after police arrested him in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. After the arrest, King Charles made a rare public statement about the case. The King said he learned about the allegations with “the deepest concern” and stressed that the legal process should continue without interference. Charles also said he would not comment further while the investigation continues.
Andrew’s situation has changed significantly in recent years. Charles removed his brother’s remaining royal titles and privileges last year after continued scrutiny over his past association with Epstein. Andrew later left Royal Lodge in Windsor and now lives at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. He has also reportedly declined an invitation to join other members of the Royal Family at Balmoral this summer.
