The actress said she could not leave her children for months at a time. Instead, she focused on finding work opportunities around Los Angeles. She described the process as becoming “very calculated” and targeted.
Her business, Once Upon a Farm, became part of that strategy. Garner said the company helped her build another professional path. She also said its growth showed that the approach was working.
Garner acknowledged that she had previously given little thought to money. Her circumstances changed when she realized she needed to become an earner. She said being famous did not automatically provide financial security.
Still, Garner said she remained grateful for her earlier career choices. Stepping back allowed her to spend significant time at home. She said she felt lucky to experience both working and motherhood.
