Princess Anne reportedly believes it would be a “tragedy” if Prince William and Prince Harry don’t reconcile. Anne is deeply close to both Harry and William and doesn’t want the brothers to continue suffering like this. In fact, she firmly believes that the feud between the brothers has “gone on far too long” and needs to be resolved now.
Princess Anne reportedly sees a ‘tragedy’ behind Prince William and Prince Harry rift
Princess Anne is reportedly not happy that Prince William and Prince Harry are still at loggerheads. For the unversed, the rift between the brothers deepened when Harry spoke about what happened behind the palace walls, including criticizing Kate Middleton during the Oprah interview and in his memoir, Spare.
Although Harry has reportedly said that he wants to mend things with William and Middleton, the Prince of Wales is said to be “stubborn.” He has refused to fix his relationship with his younger brother and has kept his distance from him.
However, now that Harry is reportedly set to relocate to the UK, it would be interesting to see how the dynamics unfold. Amid this, a new report by Heat World shared Anne’s views on the matter. She attended the funeral of her long-time lady-in-waiting, Dame Shân Legge-Bourke, in March. Her lady-in-waiting was also the mother of William and Harry’s former nanny, Tiggy, whom both brothers adore. In fact, Harry has referred to her as their “favourite nanny.”
The source told the outlet that attending the funeral was especially sad for Anne because Harry wasn’t present. She knows he would have liked to pay his tribute, the source said. The funeral reminded her that life goes by quickly, and she made sure William understood that too. Anne reportedly believes that William is being “hard-headed.” Hence, she reportedly knows he is the one she has to talk to and make him understand.
The insider added that she believes the brothers are truly missing each other. They continued, “She relies so much on her siblings to get through the hard things in life; it’s a tragedy in her view that the boys are forsaking that privilege, and she’s not going to sit back and let this go on.”
