Nathan Gallagher is speaking out after his arrest on domestic violence charges in Australia. The Below Deck Mediterranean star says the public has not heard the full story surrounding the December 2025 incident. Gallagher also claims he has video footage, messages, and other records that could provide more context.
Nathan Gallagher says he has evidence that offers another side of his arrest
In a statement to Rolling Stone, Gallagher said public reporting represents “only one side” of what he described as a complicated situation. “But I will not accept being portrayed solely through one person’s account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it,” Gallagher added.
He said he has video from the night in question, along with messages and other records. Gallagher also offered to provide relevant footage for review.
However, Rolling Stone said it requested those materials before publication and did not receive them.
The Nathan Gallagher arrest stems from an alleged Dec. 26, 2025, incident at a Sydney-area apartment complex. New South Wales Police charged him with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent and common assault.
Police arrested Gallagher the following day. He later received conditional bail and is due back in Burwood Local Court on Sept. 1. The Nathan Gallagher charges and arrest were previously detailed here.
A separate court matter also involves Gael Cameron, Gallagher’s former partner and Below Deck co-star. Court records show an Apprehended Violence Application involving Gallagher and Cameron.
Gallagher said he has made mistakes and would take responsibility for his own actions. Still, he rejected being defined solely by one account of the relationship. The Below Deck arrest has drawn attention while Season 11 continues airing. Gallagher also said his priority is his son and finding a way to co-parent peacefully.
Cameron has not publicly responded to Gallagher’s new statement. For now, Gallagher’s case continues in Australia. He will return to Burwood Local Court on Sept. 1
