RHONY Star Carole Radziwill Breaks Silence on Ghislaine Maxwell Ties

Carole Radziwill has opened up about her name appearing in the Epstein files. The RHONY star said it was difficult to come to terms with convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell’s actions, despite once considering her a friend.

Carole Radziwill admitted it was hard to accept that former friend Ghislaine Maxwell turned out to be a “horrible person”

Radziwill made the comments in a video shared by Vulture from the RHONY cast Q&A hosted by Bravo’s Andy Cohen on September 1. She said, “Me and many, many, many more people found our names in these files, and it’s not something I shy away from because I think really it’s important to talk about it. It’s important to be transparent.”

The 63-year-old said she obviously did not know anything at the time, as no one would have known what was happening 20 years ago. However, she admitted it was difficult to accept the fact that someone she had known for so long and once considered a friend was a “horrible, horrible person” who did terrible things.

“At first, I was really nervous, but I just think it’s an opportunity to talk about it. There [are] real victims and survivors who were brave enough to really stand up to these very, very powerful people. So, you know, not to be a downer, though,” Radziwill added as she prepares to return to RHONY after appearing on the series from Season 5 through Season 10. The upcoming season will explore her connection to the Epstein files.

Epstein and Maxwell faced allegations of running a widespread sex trafficking operation involving underage girls. Epstein died by suicide in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking and other crimes in 2021 and sentenced to 20 years in federal prison in 2022.
