Sometimes I completely forget Danny Booko is a cast member on The Valley. During Season 1, his big storyline was how he got pantsed by Jax Taylor. The child actor is easygoing and doesn’t seem too involved in the drama. At first, he came across as a loveable goofball. But Season 2 is shedding light on another version of Danny that isn’t so lovable after all.
Danny Booko wants everyone to be friends on The Valley
Sometimes I can’t help but feel reality TV might not be the world for Danny. He came from Disney and Nickelodeon, where everything is magical and covered in green slime. In those types of shows, there is always a happy ending, and everyone is friends with everyone. But that isn’t the reality when it comes to The Valley. Danny watched as his beloved friend group was hit with fight after fight during Season 1. I imagine it was hard for him, as there is always trouble in paradise.
Season 2 shows Danny once again trying to make sense of the mess that is his friends. While Jax is in rehab, he keeps telling the cameras that he hopes his friend gets better. He also seemed confused when Luke Broderick ran back to Kristen Doute to tell her about the secret boys’ chat. Silly Danny thought it was safe to open up to look into the rumors Jesse Lally was spreading. He never thought his words would be used against him. Danny has a lot to learn and needs to lose the deer-in-the-headlights look.
Danny Booko had to apologize for being handsy with The Valley co-stars
During Episode 3, Danny was called out for some very inappropriate behavior while “blackout drunk.” Jasmine Goode and Melissa Carelli claimed the actor became super handsy while socializing. Danny had a “rock bottom” moment while hanging out with the cast. In his confessional, Jason Caperna told viewers, “Not too long ago, Jasmine was in a situation where Danny was blackout drunk and was really inappropriate.” Jason recounted, “Danny approached Jasmine, put his hand on her thigh, and said, ‘Get daddy a drink,’ referring to himself as ‘daddy.’ And then when she went to go get ‘daddy’ and some other people a drink as well, he approached Jasmine’s girlfriend Melissa and grabbed her butt.”
Ew, Danny. Just ew. Jasmine eventually confronted Danny, noting, “You were inappropriate with me and her. I was like, ‘This is weird.'” The actor quickly stuck his tail between his legs, adding, “That was completely out of my character. I am so sorry.” But Jasmine still felt unsafe about the entire incident. She told cameras, “I wasn’t shocked that he did it, I guess. You know, I guess I was shocked because there’s no way around it. Even though he’s had situations in the past where he’s gotten really drunk and done things, this was a step further.”
The Valley star Danny Booko’s drinking has gotten the best of him
His buddies are worried about the amount of alcohol he is drinking. During the same episode of The Valley, Jason and Jesse both noted their concern over lunch. Jesse asked, “What’s happening with Danny and alcohol?” Jason noted, “He’s been good. I think he’s gotten drunk like twice this year. It’s just that, when he gets drunk, the whole town knows about it.” Jesse elaborated in his confessional, claiming he has witnessed many instances where Danny has lost control after a night of drinking. “Danny just can’t control his drinking. He has three young kids. And he doesn’t go out every night. He doesn’t do happy hour after the office. He goes out and he goes hard. The only problem is he goes hard and then he makes poor decisions when he’s in that state.”
Even Jax seems to have clocked Danny and his thirst for a cocktail. During a podcast, the former SUR bartender noted that Danny had been kicked out of his bar a few times. It’s starting to feel like Mr. Clean isn’t exactly perfect. Jax claimed Danny got an editing pass. He told listeners, “Does he deserve it? Absolutely. The guy’s got three kids under two – he says it 50 million times … But you didn’t see a lot of the stuff that he did.” Jax added, “Daniel’s also had his fair share of getting kicked out of my bar, too. He’s been kicked out a couple of times.” However, I usually take what Jax has to say with a grain of salt.
The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
