Some parents love it when children follow in their footsteps. Some aren’t as enthusiastic. Kyle Richards of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is the latter. She would be happier if her daughter, Alexia Umansky, didn’t follow her down the reality TV rabbit hole.
Alexia, whom Kyle shares with estranged husband Mauricio Umansky, may have her sights set on becoming a housewife herself. And Kyle is not necessarily happy about that despite being one and having two sisters on the show.
Alexia Umansky has Bravo aspirations, but reality TV veteran and RHOBH star Kyle Richards isn’t on board
“Someone mentioned that the other day, Alexia said, ‘Oh, I could see myself doing that,’” Kyle told PEOPLE. She was referring to the possibility of her daughter joining the famous Bravo franchise after she marries Jake Zingerman.
Kyle could hardly believe it considering her daughters have seen everything she’s been through. “And I thought, ‘What are you talking about? You learned nothing from what I’ve gone through.’”
She continued, “Can you imagine? I’ve already had two sisters on the show, now I have a daughter. Yeah, I’m okay. I think I’ll have to pass on that.”
Alexia obviously isn’t a stranger to the series and to her mom’s reality TV fame. Because of it, she’s had to deal with private things in their lives being public including learning about her parent’s split through the press and having to watch them discuss the separation in front of the camera.
However, despite that, she’s still interested. Kyle, on the other hand, isn’t 100% sure about her future with RHOBH. She’s been asked about whether she’ll be returning for RHOBH Season 15 and she still needs to make that decision because the clock is ticking.
“It’s very difficult for your life to be out there and the world judging you without being able to explain everything,” Kyle admitted. “So it depends on what year and what season, whether I can handle it or not.”
Season 14 was especially hard for Kyle highlighting her split from Mauricio and her feud with Dorit Kemsley. It was highly charged and only time will tell if Kyle (or Alexia) will be appearing in the future of RHOBH.
