The only thing more dramatic than The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 were the reunion looks, honey. The #MomTok influencers turned reality stars returned to Hulu looking like they were ready to repent in full-glam glory. From high-gloss gowns to perfect hair, the women proved they didn’t just come to hash out the drama; they came to slay. We sifted through every sequin, slit, and side part from the official reunion photo drop, and here’s our definitive ranking of the Season 2 reunion looks.
8. Jennifer Affleck

I feel like Jennifer Affleck’s look was a missed opportunity. I actually hate it, and it’s 2000s spring fling vibes. Jen showed up in a canary yellow gown with ruffled layers and spaghetti strap shoulders. On paper, it had potential, but in execution, it felt a little dated; more mother-of-the-bride than Mormon wife reunion. From a woman who gave us some of the season’s most interesting narrative, I expected something edgier. It wasn’t a total flop, and it didn’t live up to her Season 2 screen presence. However, as I’m trying to end on a positive note, the best detail was the soft waves in her hair, which were effortlessly romantic.
7. Mikayla Matthews

Mikayla Matthews took a fashion risk, in my opinion. As she sported a dark berry maxi dress, I kept wishing she’d worn something nicer. The skin-tight gown was dramatic in its own way, but the look didn’t hit. Her fashion moment slightly overwhelmed her petite frame. Still, props to her for trying something different. The berry color was stunning against her brunette waves, and the smoky makeup tied it all together.
6. Mayci Neeley

Mayci Neeley was the real showstopper this season, but sadly, her look let me down. Her black velvet dress was sparkling and sassy. The mother showed off her growing baby bump as she let her soft blonde curls fall to the side. Mayci went for glam, glitzy, which felt like a nod to old Hollywood. Mayci also wore a sweet headband in her hair. I hope she will be able to keep her composure when she inevitably has to put some of the ladies in their place.
5. Layla Taylor

Personally, I found Layla Taylor boring in Season 2. Her reunion look screamed bridal, but make it bad, girl. Layla turned heads in a light brown V-neck that could’ve doubled as a wedding dress. The corset bodice, no sleeves, and thigh-high slit gave innocent until proven guilty energy. She does have a lot of explaining to do since she was the one who was given the tea about Demi Engemann’s possible betrayal. Like the others, her sleek, straight hair and a bold nude lip complemented the look. Layla looked like she had nothing to prove, but still wanted to remind everyone who the real HBIC was. She’s been quiet most of the season, but this look? Loud.
4. Taylor Frankie Paul

Taylor Frankie Paul came dressed like the main character she’s always been. The tan lace gown hugged every curve and featured a plunging neckline that screamed, “I’ve been through hell, and I came back hotter.” She also accessorized it with a gold cross necklace. The bare shoulders of the dress gave it a powerful moment, but the soft waves and glowing makeup kept her looking like an angel. After a season of scandal, splits, and side-eyes, this look was a redemption arc in dress form. Taylor looked confident, expensive, and completely in control of the stage.
3. Miranda McWhorter

The new girl in town, Miranda McWhorter, wore orange, which translated to cool, clean, and citrusy. The orange popped against her blonde hair. And the semi-sweetheart neckline with capped sleeves gave “I’m not here for drama, I’m here for the brand deal.” Compared to the other, she was perhaps the flashiest, and the choice of dress really made her stand out. The low bun and gold hoops gave it effortless elegance. She looked like a woman who’s already booked three post-reunion sponsorships.
2. Jessi Ngatikaura

Getting the silver medal for her look was Jessi Ngatikaura who played it chic but safe. Jessi wore a sleek merlot gown with a square neckline and subtle embroidered details. Most of it was sheer, but it was elegant. However, I found the gown a little too safe considering how spicy her confessional commentary was all season. Her hair was on point but I’d expect nothing less from the professional. Jessi’s slick middle part and natural makeup gave her a polished vibe. I couldn’t look away from her perfectly arched brows, which were sculpted to perfection.
1. Whitney Leavitt

I can’t believe I have Whitney Leavitt as number one. But the mom gave the most beautiful modern princess vibes that even Cinderella would have been proud of. The former queen bee brought soft glam and pastel perfection in a baby blue strapless gown with an off-the-shoulder feel and flowing chiffon skirt. She looked like the Disney Princess of Utah County but make it influencer-era. The look was sweet, but not too sugary. And for someone who tried to not ruffle too many feathers all season, this dreamy dress matched her Season 2 gentle energy. Perhaps the best detail was the dainty diamond stud headband that sparkled every time she tilted her head.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will be available to stream on Hulu on May 15th. The show streams on Disney+ in the UK.
