Selling a home is always an emotional process. Selling a home that belonged to your beloved mother, who also happened to be a psychic? That’s nearly impossible, but Marysol Patton recently made the difficult decision to put Mama Elsa’s home on the market.
Earlier this year, the Real Housewives of Miami star listed the property nearly six years after Elsa’s death. Now, she’s opening up about why this finally feels like the right time to let go.
Marysol Patton wasn’t always ready to let Mama Elsa’s home go

Elsa’s home is listed for $4.95 million, and it features four bedrooms and four bathrooms. It sits right on one of Miami’s canals, and it’s been in Marysol’s family since the 1990s. Prior to that, rumor has it that Tennessee Williams rented the home in the 1970s and could be seen on the balcony, clacking away on his typewriter.
With all of that history and luxury, Marysol told Bravo’s The Daily Dish that she and her brother struggled with the idea of letting it go. They rented the home “off and on,” and they enjoyed keeping their family memories alive through the home.
“I felt bad ’cause she loved the house so much … but we got to a point where we were like, ‘I think it’s time,'” Marysol admitted.
She continued, “It’s been a long time. She’s been gone for a while. Dad’s been gone. It’s just sitting there. You know, it’s an expensive property. So we decided to pull the trigger.”
Marysol is hopeful that the new owners will put as much love into the house as the Pattons did. And while there’s a small chance that the new owners will tear the house down, Marysol seems unfazed. She and her brother are ready to move forward.
“If they do, it is what it is,” she said.
The Real Housewives of Miami airs on Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. The show streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
