A source apprised the publication that the actor “has clearly picked sides in the Harry and Meghan versus the Royal Family feud.” He seemingly has no intentions of connecting with Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, because of his ties to the royal family, especially Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The “Mission Impossible” star has been “well in with the royals.” The insider alleged that he has “become an honrary Brit in the process,” likely owing to his regular presence there while filming his movies. Therefore, it’s highly unlikely Cruise “would want to jeopardise those kind of connections” by forming a connection with the Sussexes. Moreover, their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, reportedly won’t have royal titles or duties in Prince William’s regime.
Reportedly, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got in touch with Tom Cruise to make an appearance on her podcast. But a second insider claimed that there’s “no chance Tom would even consider doing her pod,” suggesting they’re not among his key networking targets. Markle and Harry stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and have since begun living in California with their children. The former actor hosts two podcasts, namely “Archetypes” and “Confessions of a Female Founder.” The latter debuted earlier this year in April but seemingly won’t return for a second season.
