Season 12 of Below Deck is currently five episodes in. In all five of these showings, one particular crew member has struggled. Captain Kerry Titheradge has done his best to support this yachtie, as seen in Episodes 1-5. But this week, he finally decided that enough was enough. Now, Below Deck Season 12 is one yachtie shorter, courtesy of Episode 5.
Who got fired on Below Deck Season 12 Episode 5?

Bosun Caio Poltronieri was fired during Below Deck Season 12 Episode 5.
In Episode 1, new (to Bravo) Bosun Caio Poltronieri failed to use his radio properly. Next, he left his guest’s luggage at the pier. As the episodes that followed detailed, communication issues continued to find Caio around every single turn, frustrating his team and his boss alike.
Like many others who came before, Caio is smart. Yet, Caio lacks accountability for his actions, often asking his deck team to improve when he alone is the issue. Between never doling out clear schedules and constant missteps with Captain Kerry, many of us saw the writing on this yacht’s walls, teasing that Caio could face a firing sooner rather than later in this series.
And at the tail end of Below Deck Season 12 Episode 5, his firing is precisely what happened. From missed radio calls to answering radio prompts incorrectly to continuing to never dole out breaks to his team, Captain Kerry finally decided that enough was enough. So, he called Caio to his wheelhouse during the last minutes of Episode 5 to let his Bosun go.
Below Deck continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
