The Valley star Kristen Doute and her fiancé Luke Broderick are settling in with their new baby as a family of three.
The Vanderpump Rules alum gave birth to her and Luke’s first child, Kaia Lily Broderick, on June 11. As fans know, Kristen has long wanted to be a mom. After suffering a miscarriage in November 2023, her rainbow baby is especially welcome.
The first few weeks at home with a new baby are full of joy, terror, amazement and fluctuating hormones. The sudden realization that you’re totally responsible for this tiny living creature’s well-being can be overwhelming. So how are Kristen and Luke handling their new roles as Mom and Dad?
Kristen finds Luke “so hot” as a dad
When asked what’s the best part about seeing Luke as a dad, Kristen gushed to Us Weekly, “He’s so hot! He’s so attractive, it’s stupid. It’s like, I can’t even.”
Kristen’s long been aware that Luke’s “great with kids.” She’s seen him with their friend’s kids. “He and Cruz [Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s son] have this adorable relationship, like, super playful … He’s always been great with his niece and nephew. But seeing him with his own daughter and the way she is with me … versus the way she is with him, I feel like she feels his energy … She’s just very calm with him.”
“It’s, like, he holds her, [and her] tears are gone,” she added.
When the question came up whether their relationship has changed since Kaia’s arrival, Kristen was quick to admit, “Massively … Like, last night when I’m covered in milk and trying to wake him up, going between crying and then yelling at him [out of frustration] … He’s just like, ‘No … we’re teammates … We are not yelling at each other, we are not actually mad at each other … Take a breath.'”
Further, Luke told her, “We have to hug more. We have to stay together as a team. It’s not us versus each other. It’s us against whatever the problem is.”
Sounds like Kristen has found the perfect partner to balance her and co-parent through these difficult first weeks.
