Jax Taylor Gives Update on Leaving His Bar Business Behind

Jax Taylor has made some big life changes. He departed The Valley after Season 2. Of course, after his behavior towards his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, that may have been a wise decision. He spent part of Season 2 in rehab, but managed to make his presence known by rage-texting Brittany.

Then the Vanderpump Rules alum decided to part ways with his bar, Jax’s Studio City. That is a lot of change in a short time. Now, Jax is reflecting on his decision to leave his business.

Jax Taylor calls leaving his bar a “bittersweet” moment

Jax spoke with TMZ as workers were removing the sign with his name, calling his departure “bittersweet.” That must have been a sad moment for Jax. While Jax said that they “had a great run,” he can’t continue to work at the bar and reach his personal goals.

However, he hopes that he can perhaps host some future events at the bar. Apparently, Leo, his business partner, plans to rename the establishment and keep it open. According to Leo, Jax’s decision to part ways was rather sudden.

Jax’s reps shared a statement about The Valley star quitting his bar. It noted that Jax’s decision was “a carefully considered and necessary step to prioritize his sobriety and mental health.” Of course, Jax also departed The Valley to focus on his sobriety and mental health. His goal? To be a better father to his son with Brittany, Cruz Cauchi.

There are still questions as to whether Jax’s exit was voluntary. “So he basically was forced to resign to avoid getting fired,” an insider previously claimed. “His future with Bravo isn’t done.” It seems like the “door is open” for Jax to once again make a Bravo comeback once he is healthier. As you may recall, he bounced back after being fired from Pump Rules to land on The Valley.

The Valley Season 2 airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
