Savannah Chrisley ‘Mental Breakdown’ Has Her ‘Mortified’

Of course, we all know that Savannah Chrisley prayed and begged for her criminal parents to get released from jail. It worked! And at the same time, she also prayed and begged to get back on reality TV. That also worked! Lifetime made that dream come true with their upcoming series, The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.

Everything is going according to plan for Savannah right now, but still, she’s complaining. She’s having cold feet about the new reality show. Apparently, she’s terrified of how fans will react to seeing her at one of her lowest points.

Savannah Chrisley is “mortified” her “breakdown” is included in new Chrisleys reality show

During the August 12 episode of Savannah’s Unlocked podcast, she teased what Chrisley Knows Best fans can expect from the family’s reality TV return. Cameras went up weeks before the pardon, but they also captured the aftermath of the Chrisleys’ release from federal prison.

Since this was a heavy time for Savannah and her family, she’s feeling a mix of emotions about watching it play out on TV. She knows we’re all going to be watching with judgmental eyes.

Savannah admitted, “I’m excited but also just mortified at what an absolute basket case I may look like in one or two episodes because I had a full-on mental breakdown over my relationship, and life falling apart, and being solo, and magazine headlines that I got dragged into, and all the things. So, just be prepared for that, guys.”

According to Savannah, you should also be prepared to see the “absolute diabolical dumpster fire” that is her family. She explained that the first part of the series will show them “setting the record straight” on her parents’ case. Then, we’ll see a “full circle moment” at the end when they get released.

“So, I’m just so excited for you all to see this come to life, because I feel like this is the start of something new,” Savannah continued. “But in order to have something new, we have to go back and address everything and uncover it and show you guys what happened.”

The Chrisleys: Back to Reality kicks off on Lifetime with a two-night, two-hour premiere on September 1 at 8/7c.
