Viewers have noticed a more subdued Kiki Barth in Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Miami. We love Kiki’s free-spirited nature and hilarious comments. However, the model seemed different and not the Kiki that fans are used to seeing.
In a recent episode of RHOM, viewers finally discovered why Kiki has been so distracted. It turns out that she was dealing with a horrifying personal situation. During the girls’ trip to Seville, Spain, Kiki told her co-stars that she had been receiving death threats. And even more disturbing? The threats came from a member of Kiki’s extended family.
Kiki Barth opened up on RHOM in an emotional moment
During lunch, Kiki opened up to her RHOM co-stars. She explained that under President Joe Biden’s policies, it was easier for people from Mexico and Haiti to come to the United States. “If you have family members in those countries, you can just do a paper, and you can be a support,” Kiki explained.
Kiki, who is originally from Haiti, wanted to help her family members. “[I thought], ‘I’m going to help as many as I can. I was going to bring a few of my cousins, [who] I knew had no hope,” she said.
The RHOM star continued, “When they come here, you have to be able to support them if medical things happen [or] anything happens. You gotta be smart, you can’t help everybody.” However, Kiki’s good intentions had unexpected consequences. She started to receive “literally death threats” from other family members that she was unable to help.
“I had to move from my place within two weeks. So, I’ve been just fighting mentally,” Kiki tearfully explained. “I was so scared for my life, you don’t understand.” Thankfully, her father intervened and ended the threats.
Meanwhile, it seems like Guerdy Abraira and Kiki must have had a falling out during the reunion. They unfollowed each other on Instagram.
