Travis Kelce’s steakhouse is set to open soon
The two Kansas City Chiefs stars’ steakhouse, 1587 Prime, is ready to open its doors.
As per the latest revelation, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City-based steakhouse will have its inauguration on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. This is also Mahomes’ 30th birthday. Additionally, the inauguration is two weeks after the start of the new NFL season.
Located in the Loews Kansas City Hotel, 1587 Prime will have two floors and an area of 10,000 square feet. It will also feature several private dining rooms, a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, and an elaborate meat display. Overall, the steakhouse will have “hyper-subtle nods” to Kelce and Mahomes’ football careers. (via People)
The Instagram announcement for the restaurant, which was originally slated to open in early 2025, features a video of Kelce and Mahomes. The caption read, “Precision in every detail. Power in every bite…Beginning Wednesday, August 20, at 12 pm CST, you can reserve your table for opening night and beyond. Be among the first to experience Kansas City’s newest steakhouse.”
Hence, those who want to get a reservation at the steakhouse will have the opportunity nearly a month in advance. Besides, there could be quite a crowd in the opening weeks, given the hype surrounding it.
Additionally, the two NFL stars spoke about their establishment in the video announcement. “We wanted to bring something special for the city of Kansas City,” Mahomes said, while Kelce added, “What’s better than to break bread with people over good food, good drinks, and a cool vibe?”
Interestingly, the restaurant’s name, 1587 Prime, is derived from the jersey numbers of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. They will likely share more details about their steakhouse in the upcoming days.
