Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County hasn’t been easy for Katie Ginella. If Katie expected to glide through her sophomore season, she was in for a rude awakening. Right now, Katie is on the outs with the entire RHOC cast.
After Katie recorded Shannon Beador without her knowledge last season, the cast turned against her. In fact, Gina Kirschenheiter even went as far as to say that the RHOC ladies feel “unsafe” in Katie’s presence. That may be a bit of a stretch. However, the tide against Katie turned into a tsunami when the cast took lie detector tests.

Emily Simpson arranged for the cast to take lie detector tests at her Persian New Year party. According to the examiner, Katie “did the worst out of everybody.” However, Katie insisted that she told the truth about questions involving Gretchen Rossi, Tamra Judge, and recording Shannon.
During an episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show, Katie revealed why she might have flunked the lie detector. “I was anxious, not only to be in this group of women, but then sit in Emily’s closet and do a random non-certified [polygraphy] test. Not in a controlled environment; in her closet,” Katie stated. Plus, she accidentally skipped her “anti-anxiety medicine.”
She continued, “The anxiety made me get sick. I was, like, puking when I got there. I’m getting glares from Shannon.” Katie added, “It was just too much anxiety.” It was obvious that Katie was sick before the lie detector test was mentioned.
“I had nothing to gain from lying … I didn’t do anything. Why would I self-implode like that?” Katie remarked. Plus, Gretchen passed her test, but she obviously lied about going to the hospital after “naked wasted.”
