There must be something in the air right now, because it seems like everyone from the Love Island USA universe is calling it quits. The latest breakup is Season 7’s fourth-place finishers, Pepe Garcia and Iris Kendall.
When we last saw them during the Love Island USA Season 7 reunion, they were still together. Meanwhile, internet detectives pieced together the fact that the two unfollowed each other on Instagram before the episode aired. Cheating rumors started swirling, but now Pepe is trying to take control of the narrative.
Pepe Garcia denies rumors he cheated on Iris Kendall
TMZ caught up with Pepe and asked him about the current situation with Iris. The 27-year-old former basketball player admitted that he and Iris had gone their separate ways. He didn’t beat around the bush.
“Iris and I are not together anymore. That’s just the way it goes,” Pepe said.
When asked about the cheating rumors, he quickly shut it down. According to him, there’s no truth to that, and he’s not losing sleep over what the internet says.
“I like to say, my friends and family are the people that support me, they know who I am as a person, and that’s honesty. That’s the biggest, the most important thing,” Pepe claimed.
Hopefully, single life treats Iris and Pepe well. In the meantime, plenty of their other castmates are in the same boat. Earlier this week, we learned that Season 7 winners Bryan Arenales and Amaya Espinal broke up. There’s also a lot of online chatter that Nicolandria may have split. It’s almost as if none of these people were serious about finding “love” on that island.
