Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jen Affleck deserves a round of applause. After giving birth eight weeks ago, she is competing in Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. Jen had a difficult time when she discovered that she was pregnant while filming SLOMW.
At the time, she was having marital problems with her husband, Zac Affleck. She stopped filming to take care of her health, pregnancy, and protect her mental health. Since dancing has always been an outlet for Jen, she is thrilled that she is part of DWTS during her post-partum journey. She may be incredibly busy, but she is also happy.
Dancing with the Stars Season 34 features Jen Affleck with new DWTS pro Jan Ravnik
This season, Jen is paired with new pro dancer Jan Ravnik. He just finished his stint as a backup dancer on Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. The duo danced a salsa to Bad Bunny’s song, NUEVAYoL.
After finishing their performance, Jen and Jan spoke to DWTS co-host Julianne Hough in the skybox. “OK, let me get this straight. You had a baby eight weeks ago, and you just did that?” Julianne remarked. “But not only did you have a baby eight weeks ago, you have three babies under three?”
Jen replied, “Yes, three under three. Yes, I love them.” The TikTok dance diva continued, “It’s a lot. My body hurts. I’m still recovering from giving birth, but I’m having so much fun and I’m doing it for my kids so in the future, they can do this too.”
During her intro package, Jen discussed how she was feeling after giving birth to her daughter, Penelope, in July. “I have three kids under three and my newborn is eight weeks [old], so I don’t know if my pelvic floor is ready, but I’m ready,” Jen quipped. The duo received a 12 out of 20 points for their salsa.
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It streams on Hulu the next day.
