Amid rumors that his marriage is crumbling, Barack Obama admits he’s made his share of mistakes.
The former U.S. President recently opened up about his marriage to Michelle Obama. Reports have circulated for months that the two could be on the verge of divorce. Last weekend, the two were spotted together in Italy, boarding the superyacht of Hollywood director Steven Spielberg. The two have been married since 1992 and have two daughters, Malia and Sasha. Barack recently revealed some surprising news about their marriage.

Politics can create a lot of stress and anxiety in a marriage. That’s something Barack and Michelle know all too well, with the former serving in the most powerful position in America for eight years. Since his second term as President ended, Barack has had a lot of healing to do with Michelle.
“I was digging myself out of the hole I found myself with Michelle,” Barack said at a speaking engagement this week in London. His demanding schedule as President didn’t leave him with much time for his family or life partner. Barack has been mending fences for a long time since leaving the White House. “Now I’m at about level ground,” he added.
For her part, Michelle dispelled any notion that she and Barack were divorcing, saying: “There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I thought about quitting my man.” She admits there have been some tough times, but says she’s a better person because of him.
There’s been widespread speculation that the two were splitting up when Michelle was absent from numerous high-profile events. The former first lady also previously said she felt “free” for the first time in her life, sparking plenty of buzz that things were ending between her and Barack.
