Corey Feldman Reacts After Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Claim DWTS Pro Jenna Johnson Had ‘Difficult Time’ With Him

On the heels of their elimination, Corey Feldman is blasting claims that he and his Dancing with the Stars partner, Jenna Johnson, didn’t get along. Dance pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy may have indicated that Jenna had a bit of a hard time with the actor prior to the show, and Corey is trying to set the record straight. At least from his point of view.

Corey and Jenna performed for the judges twice since there was no elimination on the first night. However, their combined score couldn’t prevent him from being part of the double elimination on night two.

Corey Feldman says he gave everything he could to Dancing with the Stars

On the heels of his elimination, Corey felt it was important to clarify that he and Jenna got along great and he gave his all to the competition.

This may be in answer to two things. The first was that Val mentioned that Jenna was having a “difficult” time working with him and that it was an “uphill climb”. The second was the fans’ worries about Jenna being anxious about rehearsals and him showing up late to start due to personal issues.

Corey addressed the negativity by commenting on Jenna’s Instagram post after the elimination. Jenna posted a thank you for his “hard work” and for sharing “life lessons” with her. He commented on the post and noted that she was “an absolute joy to work with.”

“I’m so sorry for any negativity the media is using to give the false narrative that our time together was anything less than enjoyable,” he said.

He added, “And U know as well as I do that I was there 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks, doing everything in my power to give U my best, even if the judges couldn’t see it. God bless your family. Keep dancing the dream.”

Corey did note after the elimination that Jenna was amazing and that she “deserved better.” But the Stand by Me star did say he gave his best, and at the end of the day, that’s all anyone can ask for in a partner.

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays, at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It streams on Hulu the next day.
