The fashion multiverse came face-to-face at Milan Fashion Week. Over the weekend, Meryl Streep made a fashionable and surprise appearance at the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2026 show at Milan Fashion Week. The twist, though, is that she wasn’t there as herself but as fashion bigwig Miranda Priestly for The Devil Wears Prada 2 filming. And the best part, she hooked up with Anna Wintour!
The anticipation is already growing for the upcoming film starring Meryl, Anne Hathaway, and Stanley Tucci. The movie is set to release in May 2026, and the cast has been spotted filming in different parts of New York and now Milan as well.

Both Meryl and Stanley appeared in character for filming at the fashion show. Meryl was dressed as Runway Editor-in-Chief Miranda, while Stanley was looking sharp as Runway Art Director Nigel Kipling. The pair were seated opposite former Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, who famously inspired the role of Miranda Priestly.
Before attending the fashion show, Meryl and Anna met and hugged, and the fashion world exploded. Vogue shared a video on Instagram of the pair happily chatting with one another and looking fashionably chic!
Meryl was in a stunning latex camel-colored trench coat with a leopard print belt and a matching animal-print clutch. She completed the look with cropped black trousers and satin pumps. She was also sporting the signature white-blonde hairstyle Miranda is known for, along with classic sunglasses. Anna was in a gorgeous floral print dress with snakeskin boots and her signature bob.
At a quick glance, you could easily mistake one for the other. Both ladies looked super glamorous, making us wish the video had audio so we could hear what they were saying.
Anna also interacted with Stanley and Simone Ashley. Simone looked chic in a black mesh corset, a Dolce & Gabbana high-waist gold skirt, and black slingback pumps.
She will be playing a new character in the highly anticipated sequel. Other rumored participants in the film include Summer House fashion-lover Paige DeSorbo.
Excitement is building. We’ll have to wait until May 2026 for the movie, and honestly, why is no one ready?
