Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence allegations.
Rulla Pontarelli is a new, reported cast member on Real Housewives of Rhode Island. This city has yet to debut on Bravo. Yet, when it does, it could arrive with an unhealthy dose of drama, thanks, in part, to her husband. Working as a podiatrist out of North Providence, her husband is now facing serious domestic violence charges. Here’s what we know about this breaking situation.
A potential RHORI cast member’s husband, Brian Pontarelli, is accused of a domestic violence offense
As NBC 10 News stated on air, they recently obtained court documents regarding a domestic violence charge. A man named Brian Pontarelli took part in this incident. And Brian is the husband of Rulla, a new rumored cast member on RHORI.
According to these documents, Brian allegedly placed an electronic tracking device either in or on a car without the explicit consent of its legal owner. However, it remains unclear if this device landed on Rulla’s vehicle or someone else’s. However, these papers do show that Rulla filed a no-contact order against Brian on Friday.
This charge is serious, falling under the category of a misdemeanor domestic violence offense. When NBC reached out to Brian and Rulla via their listed home address for a statement on this incident, no one answered their front door. Likewise, the receptionist at his workplace told the outlet that Brian is busy. The receptionist also noted that Brian does not have any comments to make (yet).
Rulla’s role on RHORI, however, remains unknown.
The Real Housewives of Rhode Island series does not yet have a premiere date on Bravo.
