Starring on “The Howard Stern Show” on October 15, Jennifer Lopez revealed her take on love and her exes. When Stern asked if she’s ever been truly loved, Lopez answered in a beat, “No.” But when he asked her if she had loved someone, she did not hold back from saying, “Yes.”
Lopez explained her point of view. She said, “What I learned, it’s not that I’m not lovable. It’s that they’re not capable.” Moreover, the singer bluntly added, “They don’t have it in them.” However, Lopez identified a deeper issue, stating, “They need to appreciate the little person inside of them. They need to love them.”
At the same time, the “On the Floor” hitmaker acknowledged, “They gave me what they had. They gave me all of it. Every time. All the rings. All the things I could ever want. They tried to give me the houses, the rings, the marriage, all of it.” But when Stern said, “They didn’t love you,” Lopez answered, “They didn’t.” She also admitted, “And I didn’t love myself.”
Furthermore, J.Lo noted, “I just feel like I want to keep that part so much more quiet in my life.” She also joked about not checking up on past partners: “Once I’m done, you’re dead to me,” she laughed, before clarifying she prefers to move on.
Lopez candidly addressed all things love and exes. After her recent divorce from Ben Affleck, one clear thing that the interview revealed is that she doesn’t doubt her own worth. However, she believes some of her exes were unable to meet her emotionally.
