Taylor Swift’s Silence in Blake Lively’s Friendship Is ‘Final’ — Source

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively‘s friendship is reportedly over, with a source calling the singer’s silence “final.” The insider said the once-tight pair have not spoken in months. Tension flared after Lively’s lawsuit referenced Swift in filings, which the source claims left her feeling used. The popstar is said to be protecting her peace while focusing on current projects and private life. Meanwhile, the “Gossip Girl” alum has tried to mend things with Swift, but the source insisted the door appears shut.

As per Rob Shutter’s #ShuterScoop report, Taylor Swift and Blake Lively “haven’t spoken in nearly a year.” A source explained, “Taylor feels betrayed. Blake knows she crossed a line.” A Hollywood insider added that the musician “felt used” when her name appeared in legal documents.

Reportedly, Lively referred to her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and Swift as trusted allies, calling them her “dragons.” The same insider said Swift is “protecting her peace” and choosing not to re-engage. A friend summarized the standoff in blunt terms, remarking, “It’s not a pause. It’s permanent.”

Insiders also shared more insights on the Swift-Lively friendship split around the lawsuit fallout. One source added that Swift is “focusing on Travis Kelce — not old friendships,” noting that outreach from the actor has not changed Swift’s stance.

The former besties were once frequent supporters. Lively directed Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me” video in 2021, while the “Bad Blood” singer named characters in her song “Betty” after Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ children. They also appeared at events, posted celebratory messages, and shared downtime with mutual friends.

Now, the Taylor Swift-Blake Lively friendship is described as “beyond repair.” The sources point to boundary setting from the popstar and regrets from the “A Simple Favor” actor. Lively’s lawsuit was against her co-actor and director Justin Baldoni over issues on the sets of “It Ends With Us.” The dispute, as characterized by the source, arose during the film’s production and prompted a $400 million countersuit by Baldoni, which was later dismissed by a judge.
