Victoria Beckham is once again addressing a rumor that dates back over 20 years.
In 2004, her husband, David Beckham, was said to be having an affair. The English footballer was playing for Real Madrid at the time. Rebecca Loos is the person with whom he was allegedly involved with, with the Dutch model claiming they had a four-month affair together. She said that David would invite her to his hotel room while Victoria was out of town.
For his part, David has consistently denied these reports. However, he admitted in his 2023 Netflix docuseries, Beckham, that it was an incredibly difficult time in their marriage. While Victoria admits to resenting her husband for a while when those allegations surfaced, it has actually made them stronger together.
Victoria and David Beckham have “ridden the damn storm”
When you’re as big as David and Victoria, there’s bound to be plenty of press attention, both good and bad. In a recent interview with Alex Cooper on the show Call Her Daddy, Victoria was asked how the couple handles all the speculation, such as David’s alleged affair. “We’ve had so much thrown at us, and we’ve always just been there together and just ridden the damn storm.”
Victoria has always stood by the former England international but says when that supposed affair went public, “It was the hardest period because it felt like the world was against us.” For her part, Rebecca has previously insisted she’s never lied or exaggerated anything about the rumored affair.
This recent interview by Victoria comes during a difficult time for the Beckham parents. Their oldest son, Brooklyn reportedly has no interest in healing his issues with the family.
David and Victoria have been married since 1999 and have four children together, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
