Dylan Efron Reveals Brother Zac’s DWTS Support: ‘Doing His Thing’

The Traitors alum Dylan Efron may have killed it in the castle, but he is also no slouch in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom. Of course, Dylan has no dance or performance experience, unlike his brother, singer and actor Zac Efron. So far, Zac has yet to make an appearance in the audience to watch his brother.

Meanwhile, Dylan and his partner, Daniella Karagach, received some low marks at the beginning. However, once Dylan adopted his gentlemanly persona, his scores improved. In fact, the duo’s touching contemporary routine topped the leaderboard during Dedication Night. And now Dylan is moving into Week 8 of DWTS.

Zac Efron hasn’t been in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom to watch Dylan perform

Coming off of Wicked Night, Dylan felt good about their steamy rumba. “I think … we were proud of what we did out there,” Dylan told Extra. “It was a challenging song, and she really went for it!” I love how Dylan gives all the credit to his partner, Daniella, and her amazing choreography.

When Dylan was asked when Zac would be in the ballroom to cheer him on, he was a bit vague. “Hey, he’s doing his thing,” Dylan responded, adding that his brother has been “supporting me every day.” In fact, Dylan gave Zac a shout-out by dancing to Rewrite the Stars, his song with Zendaya during Dedication Night. And to continue the family theme, Dylan’s younger sister, Olivia, joined him on the dance floor.

In the package before their performance, Dylan became emotional. “Now, being able to dance to Rewrite the Stars, this is a nod to my brother. Zac’s always taken care of me, and he did things that were so selfless,” Dylan stated. “I wanna be that to Olivia. I wanna be the best role model I can.”

Welp, as Dylan prepares for his Halloween routine, he will be dancing with an injury. During rehearsals, Daniella accidentally broke Dylan’s nose.

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It streams on Hulu the next day.
