Conservationist Robert Irwin has been delightful on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. He may have no prior dance experience, but his enthusiasm and charisma light up the ballroom. Plus, Robert can dance! It must be a genetic gift, as his sister, Bindi Irwin, took home the Mirrorball during Season 21 of DWTS.
Usually, Bindi and her husband, Chandler Powell, and their adorable daughter, Grace Warrior, are cheering Robert on from the audience. However, Bindi and Grace were missing during Wicked Night due to Grace not feeling well. And, during scream-tastic Halloween Night, the family was MIA once again.

Bindi took to Instagram to explain why they were going to miss Robert and his partner, Witney Carson’s, performance. She posted a cute photo with her husband and Grace. “Chandler, Grace and I all got a bug and I’ve completely lost my voice now … so we will be cheering (quietly) from our living room for Robert and Witney on @dancingwiththestars,” Bindi captioned the photo, “They have an incredible dance for Halloween week, beyond proud of their hard work and dedication.” Then she urged her followers to vote for Robert.
For the record, Robert and Witney’s sexy and theatrical Argentine Tango earned the couple 38 out of 40 points. Plus, Robert earned his first 10s of the season! In addition, I love how supportive Bindi and Robert are of one another.
After completing his first dance of the season, a jive, Robert ran over to the audience to hug his sister. It was such an emotional and moving moment. “That was not planned. But I finished that, and I just, this sense of warmth and relief and joy,” Robert previously explained. “And I went over to Bindi and gave her a hug.”
Hopefully, Bindi, Chandler, and Grace will be in the audience next week.
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.
