Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo handled a fan crisis gracefully at the Wicked: For Good film event. In a video shared by Pop Crave on their X (formerly Twitter) account, the Wicked stars sweetly comforted a crying fan after a drink-spill mishap.
The actors were posing with the fans when an unidentified individual spilled a glass of champagne on a girl’s head. The mishap was captured on the fan’s TikTok account, which is named Tricia The Angel (via PEOPLE).
In the video, Tricia flinches as the champagne drink trickles down her face and neck. Ariana and Cynthia look at her with concern, and the former asks, “Are you okay?” Cynthia immediately left Ariana’s side to fetch some tissues for Tricia.
Ariana then walked over to comfort the fan, who burst into tears, and repeatedly asked her if she was okay. A few moments later, the “Positions” singer and Cynthia circled around Tricia, wiping her face with tissues and soothing her.
Unsurprisingly, the video has gone viral on the internet. Fans praised their kindness and quick-wittedness in handling a crisis situation with grace and compassion. Tricia revealed that even though she was crying, she could hear Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s concerned voices. “Both of them were so sweet and so kind and took the time to comfort me until I started to feel better,” Tricia said. Finally, Tricia urged fans to watch their film Wicked: For Good, releasing in cinemas on November 21.
