Kristen Bell and Adam Brody have once again appeared together in the second season of Netflix‘s acclaimed Nobody Wants This. With the second season of the show airing, the pair appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show. There, Bell revealed what Brody called their first intimate scene together, long before they appeared opposite each other in Nobody Wants This.
What did Adam Brody say while filming sex scenes with Kristen Bell?
Before the Netflix rom-com series, Bell and Brody were together in House of Lies, where they also played each other’s love interest. Though Adam Brody stuck around for only three episodes, he and Bell shared an intimate scene together on the show.
Bell recounted the fun chemistry they had off-screen back then and revealed that Adam referred to their sex scene as a “threesome” because Bell was pregnant at the time. Bell recalled, “I was eight and a half months pregnant and we were blurring it out,” referring to her baby bump. She continued, “And Adam affectionately refers to it as ‘our threesome.’ Which I do not want my daughter to hear!”
Bell was pregnant twice over the course of the series. While the second pregnancy was integrated into the story, the first required some digital and analog alterations to accommodate it.
Apart from this fun trivia, Bell praised Brody as a co-star. She said, “He’s a delightful scene partner. I love and trust him as an individual so much, and I find that he brings something weird and awkward and funny and wonderful and unexpected to every scene, which I really enjoy.” She added, “But I also trust him completely. So to be honest, when I was this much pregnant and I had to, like, mount him, I was just like, ‘Well… morning!'”
