Some girls are pouting, some girls are sexting, are one girl is coming down with the flu. On The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 Episode 5 “Sunshine and Sexts,” the cast trip to Nevis continued, and so did the nonsense.
When we last left off, Gizelle stirred the pot at the first dinner in Nevis by calling out Angel for her questionable photo editing skills, or lack thereof. Then, Ashley started gearing up to drop some tea about Stacey’s alleged connection to Chris Samuels. Could the QVC queen talk her way out of this one? You better believe it.
What happened on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 Episode 5?
Still on their cast trip in Nevis, Ashley dropped her receipts about Chris, and Gizelle opened up about an NFL romance of her own. Meanwhile, Keiarna and Angel continued on their epic quest to suck the fun out of every part of this trip. The frowns were not turning upside down, and their behavior earned them a new nickname from Wendy: the Sad Sisters Duo.
Ashley drops the Chris Samuels bomb
When Bravo first shared the RHOP Season 10 trailer, we were all on the edge of our seats, eager for the reveal about Chris and Stacey’s connection. They’ve been building up to it for weeks. The moment finally happened, and the whole thing seemed to fall flat within the first five minutes of Episode 5. No amount of Wendy’s screaming in the background could save it. This tea didn’t land the way Ashley had hoped.
“I adore Chris Samuels,” Stacey told the ladies amid the reveal. “He is a great man, a great father. We are good friends. Both of us, having gone through a divorce, we have a lot of friends in common, and that’s what it is.”
Stacey shut down any lingering questions by sharing with the group more broadly how she reconnected with Thiemo. If she’s back with her husband, then she probably isn’t trying to date Monique’s ex-husband.
“Listen and listen good. I’m back with my husband,” Stacey declared, shutting down the scandal in its tracks.
Angel is going around in circles
After that spicy little dinner, Gizelle brought everyone back to her suite for a birthday celebration for Wendy. Immediately, Keiarna dropped out, claiming she felt tired. She just casually left her buddy Angel there to fend for herself, but surprisingly, it went great!
As soon as Keiarna left, Angel opened up and had a blast partying with the girls. They played games, shared laughs, and Angel hugged Gizelle at the end of the night. Everything seemed good, but the next day? A totally different story.
Angel pulled Gizelle to the side, bawling her eyes out that Gizelle called her out over the selfie. Angel felt like she was being bodyshamed, but in a confessional, Gizelle said that she couldn’t have been bodyshaming her because the picture in question was only of Angel’s face. Hilarious.
All shade aside, Gizelle apologized to Angel for hurting her feelings, but she felt extremely confused by the sudden 180. What happened between last night and the morning that made her so upset? Keiarna happened.
An evening full of complaints
Later in the episode, we learned that Angel’s attitude shift didn’t come from out of nowhere. After Angel left the party with the girls, she came back to her room to find Keiarna wide awake, eager for a bitch sesh.
Within minutes, Angel’s smile disappeared, replaced with her signature pout. She went from celebrating with the egirls to complaining about them. Ironically, Keiarna claimed everyone else was being bitter.
Clearly, Angel’s flip-flopping is becoming a pattern. Last week, she said no one greeted her at the airport, but they did. She said she didn’t get chin checked by Keiarna, but she definitely did.
At this point, we can’t tell if this woman is a liar or just a really terrible Real Housewife. Either way, it’s getting painful to watch, and the rest of the women are fed up with it, too.
Wendy told the group that she’s done coddling both Angel and Keiarna. She said the “Sad Sisters Duo” put a “consistent dark cloud” over the group, and she urged the other women to leave it alone. There’s no need to continue investing their previous time in Nevis into talking in circles with Angel and Keiarna.
Gizelle dishes on her love life
The ladies spent this episode hopping around the island and hitting up tourist destinations, but in between all of that, Gizelle shared some rare insight into her love life. She was left with no choice after Stacey brought up the connection to Shawn Springs. The group needed to know more.
“I realized I need to be serious about my future and about a man,” Gizelle admitted to the group. “My father — before he passed — I remember one conversation that we had. ‘Look, you got to find a man that fits like a comfortable shoe.’”
With that said, it definitely sounds like she and Shawn are getting comfy. Of course, the former First Lady didn’t want to reveal if she and Shawn had done the unholy deed, but she did admit that he met one of her daughters. One down, two to go!
A sext gone wrong
This episode is called “Sunshine and Sexts” specifically because of one laugh-out-loud scene that happened when the ladies ventured off to a Nevis flea market. Before they got there, Angel was bragging about how her husband sent her $5,000 to spend. She sent him a sext as a thank you when they got to the shops.
For some reason, Stacey had the bright idea to do the same thing with Thiemo. For safe measure, she included the world’s most awkward selfie. His response? “I think you have the wrong number.”
The ladies completely lost it — everyone except for Wendy, who suddenly fell ill and disappeared for the rest of the episode. Maybe she got a weird call from her insurance company? We’re not sure because we were too busy laughing at Stacey’s sext.
Stacey brushed it off, telling the ladies that his response was just an example of his European sense of humor. Meanwhile, Ashley was busy adding this to her growing evidence sheet on Stacey’s love life. You can tell she’s still not buying what Stacey is selling, but at this point, we don’t care. As long as Stacey is making us laugh, she can run amok with her confusing storylines.
Jassi and Keiarna go at it … again
Is anyone else having trouble following this drama between Jassi and Keiarna? Unfortunately, they’re doubling down on it during this cast trip. These two have been picking at each other since Preakness, and although Wendy is trying to dismiss the Sad Sister Duo, Jassi keeps pulling her into it.
The ladies gathered for another dinner while Wendy sat back at the hotel recovering from her mystery illness. In her absence, Jassi and Keiarna started rehashing the off-camera drama that put a rift in their friendship. The one thing they can agree on is that a bunch of badmouthing led to it all.
In a confessional, Keiarna explained that Jacqueline Blake told her that Jassi called her a “snake.” On the other hand, Jassi claimed that Keiarna had been talking badly about Wendy, urging the newbie not to trust her. So, what is the truth? We’re not sure, but Jassi’s going to get the information out there.
The episode ended with Jassi teasing that if Wendy knew what Keiarna said about her, heads would roll. On a scale of one to 10, Jassi said Wendy’s anger would be an 8.5. Suddenly, we’re invested.
