Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County ended with an anonymous caller reaching out to the cast. The mystery caller pointed a finger at Tamra Judge, blaming her for leaking stories to the bloggers. It was a bizarre way to end the season, and Alexis Bellino had some thoughts about all of it.
The RHOC alum has been recapping the season along with reality TV producer Carlos King on his podcast, Reality with the King. During the latest episode, she explained why that odd finale moment felt set up by production.
Alexis Bellino thinks the anonymous voice on the RHOC finale had to sign a waiver with production
Carlos and Alexis recapped RHOC Season 19 Episode 17 during the October 31 episode of Reality with the King. Speaking from his experience as a Real Housewives producer, Carlos called the finale moment “fake” and “phony.” He also theorized that the muffled voice could belong to Slade Smiley. That’s when Alexis had a “lightbulb” moment about how it all played out.
“This was a lightbulb moment for me,” Alexis said. “Because for them to be able to use that recording of a muffled voice, as a producer, I’m asking you this, the show had to have that person sign off to be on national television, correct?”
Carlos agreed, noting that although the person’s voice was muffled, they would still need to get permission to record their conversation for television. With that in mind, Alexis had some advice for how Tamra should move forward.
Alexis said, “You need to get from production who that phony voice is and get to the bottom of that.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County continues with a three-part reunion, Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo. Stream it on Peacock.
