Can we agree that fans sometimes need to learn their place? Some entitled fans take things too far. That’s what happened at Halsey’s Boston show when a fan shouted at her to “Stop talking and play.” The musician wasn’t having it and wasn’t afraid to show it. She told the fan exactly what she thought of his rude behavior.
Halsey said she “almost f*cking died” to be on stage
Halsey is on her Back to Badlands tour, celebrating the 10th anniversary of her album with the same name. On November 3 at her concert at the MGM Music Hall, the pop star candidly shared that she had been in the ER the night before due to a minor medical emergency.
This isn’t the first time Halsey has shared intimate details about her health with fans. She’s always been honest about her health and her career. Anyone who is a fan knows how important both of these are to her.
That’s why it was appalling when a fan cut her off and shouted, “Stop talking and play!” She stopped what she was saying and addressed them head-on.
“Who the f*ck do you think you’re talking to?” she said in a video on TikTok captured by another fan in the audience. “You think you’re tough sh*t because you’re from Boston? I’m from Jersey, baby! I’ll whoop your ass.”
My dad’s from Boston, my mom’s from Jersey,” the singer explained. “That basically makes me a f*cking demon,” She added that she was going to play “whatever the f*ck I wanna play.”
“In case you didn’t hear me correctly, I almost f*cking died to be on this stage,” Halsey reiterated. Good for her. No one deserves to be talked over at their own show.
The singer also added a post on X addressing the situation with a fun little throwback play on the words of Nightmare, her 2019 song. “I’ve been polite but won’t be caught dead letting a man tell me what I should play in my set,” she wrote.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK THE FAN GOT OFF EASY? DO YOU AGREE THAT SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT FOR CALLING THEM OUT?
