Travis Kelce and Jason clash over 2025 World Series on podcast
On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis and Jason Kelce discussed various topics ranging from Disney World to the birds they had as pets. However, a particular topic sparked a clash of opinions between them — Baseball. Reading from off his screen, Jason exclaimed, “Baseball! We’re gonna stamp baseball? What?” Travis then laughingly said to his brother, “Listen, just because the Phillies didn’t make it, doesn’t mean the World Series wasn’t absolutely epic. That was an awesome 7 games of f*cking baseball.”
As Travis continued to narrate what went down during the 7-game World Series final, Jason didn’t look too amused. “So you’re telling me I’m supposed to get excited about a Canadian baseball team, and a team that just spends more money than everybody else?” said Jason, slightly raising his voice. As Travis continued to get into the technical details, Jason then shouted, “Well, yeah, that’s why baseball sucks! You just buy World Series championships. It’s the dummest thing in the world.”
Travis, chuckling as he spoke, then mentioned how the World Series was exciting and unexpected. This led Jason into another outburst, exclaiming, “Unexpected?! Everybody knew this was going to happen before the season! We just had a bunch of meaningless sh*t happen before, and then it happened.” Jason then mentioned that baseball isn’t getting his stamp, leaving Travis laughing hard.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center went on to explain he would get on track with the sport if they added a salary cap and made teams have to win championships on merit rather than just spending money. While their clash did have some heat, fans agree that it was fun to watch. One fan jokingly wrote in the comments, “I did not expect the baseball disrespect from an athlete. Putting a curse on the Eagles right now.”
