Blake Lively Labeled ‘Mid-Tier’ After Huge Damage Claim — Source

Hollywood insiders are calling Blake Lively‘s $161 million lawsuit against “It Ends With Us” director Justin Baldoni “fantasy math.” The actor claimed she lost $18.3 million in past earnings and $37.9 million in future income from missed roles and endorsements. Her filing also alleged $49 million in losses for her beauty brand, $22 million for her beverage companies, and $34 million in reputational damage due to defamatory statements.

Blake Lively thinks she is Beyonce, says producer

Blake Lively’s legal team filed a lawsuit accusing Justin Baldoni of damaging her reputation and derailing her career, allegedly costing her major brand deals, film roles, and profits from her ventures, Blake Brown and Betty Buzz. The suit reportedly sought nearly half a billion dollars in damages, though industry insiders remained skeptical. “She’s talented, sure,” one studio executive told Rob Shuter’s #Shuterscoop. “But $161 million? Blake’s not pulling Marvel money. Ryan’s the brand, not her.”

Many in Hollywood shared the same doubts. “Even her biggest movies didn’t gross that much,” one agent remarked. “This feels more like ego than economics.” A veteran producer put it more bluntly, saying, “She’s acting like a mogul when she’s mid-tier at best. People are whispering, ‘She thinks she’s Beyoncé!’” Despite the backlash, those close to Lively insist the lawsuit isn’t about greed. “She’s embarrassed. This is about pride,” said a close friend. Still, the mockery continues across industry circles.

The newly filed lawsuit comes amid significant developments in the ongoing “It Ends With Us” legal saga involving Lively and Baldoni. In June, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed the filmmaker’s defamation counter suit after finding that Lively’s claims were legally protected from such action.

Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, failed to meet the court-imposed deadline to file an amended complaint, leading Judge Lewis J. Liman to issue a final judgment on October 31. Although the case is now formally closed, Baldoni and his co-plaintiffs still have the option to appeal once the court rules on Lively’s motion to recover legal fees. Meanwhile, the “Gossip Girl” alum’s lawsuit against Baldoni is set to go to trial in March 2026.
