Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were among the many guests who attended the 70th birthday bash of Kris Jenner at the Beverly Hills. Following the celebration, the reality TV star even uploaded an Instagram carousel to show off the good time she had with her guests. However, followers were quick to notice that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were conspicuously absent from the photo dump. This, an expert believes, was a way of serving a “social snub” by the television personality.
Kris Jenner likely ‘subtly maintaining neutrality’ by omitting Sussexes from birthday post, per expert
Kris Jenner had a gala time at her birthday celebration with who’s who of the tinsel town. Many A-listers, including Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber, Oprah Winfrey, Ciara, and Paris Hilton, attended her birthday bash, along with others. Even Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were at the party. And Kris made sure to share a glimpse of her celebration on Instagram.
However, followers were quick to notice that in the photo dump, which showed the “Magical night” with Kris’s “beautiful family and friends,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were nowhere to be seen. According to branding and publicity expert Chad Teixeira, this might have served as a snub to the royal couple.
“In the world of celebrity PR, silence and omission can be just as calculated as a post, and the silence from Kris Jenner speaks volumes here,” the expert told the Daily Mail. And this omission is “unlikely to be accidental.”
However, the expert believes that this does not mean there is ill feeling between the Kris and the royal couple. It seems to suggest Kris could be “subtly maintaining neutrality” by choosing not to post about the Sussexes.
Mr. Teixeira further feels that since the royal couple are “equally brand-conscious and acutely aware of how they’re perceived, this could feel like a social snub – especially in an industry where visibility equals relevance.”
However, it seems that after the Daily Mail report, Kris included the Sussexes in her post but soon deleted them from her feed.
