Among the thousands of Jeffrey Epstein emails released by the House Oversight Committee, some are explosive statements about Donald Trump. Statements that Trump “knew about the girls” and spent “hours at [Epstein’s] house with” an unnamed victim are included.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt labeled the emails “a manufactured hoax by the Democrat [sic] Party.” But the emails also reveal many prominent people who kept in touch with Epstein, even after he served jail time for having sex with underage girls.

Michael Wolff, author of Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, acknowledged using Epstein as a source. But in 2016, Wolff also advised Epstein how to counter accusations being made by author James Patterson. In order to shift attention away from himself, Wolff told Epstein to throw his buddy Trump under the bus. However, the convicted pedofile didn’t take the author’s advice, choosing to remain silent.
New York Times financial reporter Landon Thomas, Jr. was another of Epstein’s correspondents. Thomas also tried to get Epstein to go public with information he claimed to have about Trump.
“Would you like photso[sic] of donald and girls in bikinis in my kitchen?” Epstein wrote in an email. Coincidentally, one of the “girls” was Lauren Petrella, a model who later accused Trump of unwanted sexual advances.
Another email friend was New Age guru Deepak Chopra. He responded to Epstein informing him that a case alleging that he and Trump sexually abused a 13-year-old girl had been dropped. “Good See you this Sat 230 PM ?” the guru replied.
But it’s an insight by former Treasury Secretary and past Harvard University president Lawrence Summers that’s most shocking. Somehow, a supposedly well-educated and respected man felt it was okay to share jokes about the #MeToo movement with a man who had served jail time for having sex with girls too young to consent.
Summers persistently asked Epstein for his thoughts about Trump and who he might appoint to his cabinet if he won in 2016. Epstein wrote back, “recall ive told you, i have met some very bad people, none as bad as trump … not one decent cell in his body.”
