Travis Kelce Triggers TikTok Timberland ‘Bone-in vs. Boneless’ Debate

World’s current favorite couple, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, recently dressed in coordinated fall ensembles for a date night in New York City on November 6, 2025, both flaunting black Louis Vuitton shoes. Swift wore sleek knee-high stiletto boots, while Kelce wore LV work boots. Kelce’s footwear sparked an entire debate on TikTok about whether the boots were “boneless” or not.

Travis Kelce sparks TikTok debate over his Timberland

Travis Kelce’s LV work boots, made in collaboration with Timberland, ignited a debate on TikTok, whether the shoes were “boneless.” For those unaware of the term, it is a variant of the Timberland shoes, defined by an upper attached to the sole in a simpler two-piece construction. As for the other Timberland variant, it has extra midsole layer, which many casual observers may have missed.

This kickstarted a debate on TikTok (via WWD), where many fans stepped forward with their observation. “They look great. The only thing is, is that I now have an unnecessary amount of information about boneless Timbs because of TikTok. And now when I see this picture, all I can see is Trav’s boneless Timbs,” one user wrote. “This boot right is here is considered regular, because it got the sole, it got the middle part and it got the boot. Three parts,” another user said, explaining the construction. It seemed that TikTok users were divided on shoes.

As seen on social media, Kelce’s boots were allegedly the less desirable version of New York-style Timberland, according to many fans. The boneless version of the shoes is also allegedly less expensive.

It’s interesting to note that even Travis Kelce’s shoes attract so much attention, giving an insight into how popular the player currently is in the world.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s marriage is fast approaching, with the pair planning to tie the knot next summer. There has been a lot of anticipation surrounding the same.
