Welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean fans! Last week, we met Cathy, whose resume left Kizzi feeling insecure. Meanwhile, Kizzi is newly single and ready to mingle, but Cathy is now her competition here as well. Cue all the drama, plus a slacking-off deck team, on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 8, “French Kiss.”
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 8?
Joe and Nathan are still reveling over their recent reunion. But their bromance is now creating problems on the deck team. Likewise, in the interior, a promotion and an unexpected hookup session are also rocking this yacht. Can Aesha’s dream team survive going forward?
Captain Sandy scolds the deck team
V has very real feelings for Joe. He reciprocates, but he also has a thing for Kizzi. However, V has a tragic backstory with her late boyfriend, so Joe feels stuck.
After dropping off two of Primary Joe’s booted women, the yacht gets underway again. Nathan finally has “trust” in his team. So he can “relax” his mind now.
Bachelorettes Ashleigh and Alicia like Primary Joe. But in their cabin, Anna jokes that his vibes scream “low net worth.”
Matchmaker Amy has her candidates play a round of Never Have I Ever. Anna takes a drink with every question asked. Josh interrupts with an apology to go over their menu. “It’s okay, Tim,” Amy says.
Aesha thanks her girls for “smashing another day.” Cathy asks for a hug. As they embrace, Kizzi quips, “She’s the golden girl now,” in her confessional.
At the bow, Max hypnotizes Joe. In the wheelhouse, Captain Sandy notes that the deck team is “more interested in having fun than doing their job.”
Amy tells Primary Joe that he needs to pick two women for special dates. Anna does not want this honor. She heads off to take selfies before her hopeful exit in the morning, while Alicia asks to speak with him privately.
Alicia and Primary Joe kiss. One level above, Anna and Ashleigh watch. “I’m gonna steal him,” Ashleigh whispers.
In the morning, deckhand Joe takes a long break. When Captain Sandy sees their unstaffed swim platform, her worries mount. She finds the men gathered in the crew mess, letting them know that she never wants to see them hanging out again during charters.
Nathan demands respect
Nathan is “f*cking fuming.” Joe doesn’t take it personally. But he does admit that he’s “slacking.”
Anna gets her wish. Primary Joe kicks her and Mariely off. Aesha and Josh celebrate. They have two fewer guests to care for.
Captain Sandy calls Nathan to the bridge. His “bro lovefest” with Joe needs to stop. Nathan agrees.
Speaking of lovefest, Cathy spots makeup on Primary Joe’s pillow. Kizzi and Cathy think it belongs to Alicia. Ashleigh silently walks by, overhearing their suspicions.
Cathy is “too good” to only have one stripe on her shoulder. But Aesha doesn’t want to demote Kizzi. So, Aesha needs to sit on this decision for a bit.
Nathan asks Aesha for advice. She tells him to be firmer. He gets his chance right after, when Max tries to leave the swim platform. However, a storm is rolling in, so they shift gears and motor back to the dock.
Max and Joe take another long break together. Nathan radios them. “Ridiculous,” Captain Sandy mutters. Nathan finds Joe, reminding his friend that he is in charge, and if Joe has “a problem with that,” they can sort it out later.
“Who even is this?” wonders Joe. After, Nathan scolds Max for talking back to him. As he warns, Nathan is over their disrespect. “Emotionally, I’m about to be a storm,” says Max.
Primary Joe wakes up to a surprise
Alicia and Ashleigh take their seats for a romantic indoor dinner with Primary Joe. Outside, his matchmaker enjoys a burger in peace.
The other Joe misses his lighthearted friendship with Nathan. He hopes they don’t drift any further apart.
Cathy likes how Max “notices everything.” She might “kiss Max just for the drama.” Kizzi likes this idea, but she also wants to play a role. “Let’s have a three-way kiss,” she jokes.
Nathan calls Gael Cameron, his Season 9 girlfriend. Gael encourages him. Upstairs, Primary Joe reveals his intentions. He wants to date both Alicia and Ashleigh for a bit.
When he heads to bed, Alicia and Ashleigh bond. They hate this plot twist. Ashleigh pulls out her phone and texts Amy. They are both dumping Joe.
Kizzi giggles. She leaves notes to fill everyone in. In the morning, she runs and jumps into Max’s arms. Cathy sees, but says nothing.
Ashleigh exits the yacht before Primary Joe awakens. Alicia wins. So does Kizzi. As Max shows her away from the camera’s lenses, her leap gave him a boner.
An expected hookup rocks the yacht
Aesha praises Cathy in the tip meeting. Kizzi looks annoyed. Captain Sandy scolds the deck team, minus V.
“Having said that,” Captain Sandy is still giving the crew a day off tomorrow, where they can party using their latest tip of $25K. After their meeting, Aesha holds one of her own. Cathy and Kizzi are both second stews now. Kizzi cheers, but on the inside, she’s frustrated.
“The drama starts now,” Kizzi jokes several beats later. At dinner, Joe tells V that he wants a “no strings attached” fling. V appreciates his honesty. But she’s still going to flirt with him.
Cathy wants Max tonight, but who does Kizzi want? Joe, Kizzi answers.
However, later in the hot tub, Kizzi makes out with Max. “What the f*ck?” Cathy asks. She exits the jacuzzi as the words “TO BE CONTINUED” appear.
